This is an ATC for a swap. Colours are black, various shades of blue and white. Simple.
A friend brought me some pansies to plant. I thought I would post a picture here for some spring inspiration. About time we had some good weather in my area. Today was a good day. :)

One Hundred Faces - #74
This is a birthday present for my sister. She said she wanted some of my art. So I gave this to her today, which just happens to be her birthday.

One Hundred Faces - #73
The face was drawn on an old tattered manila envelope. The beret and hair are from a magazine photo of a raspberry and salted
caramel meringue and the background quilt pattern is called "Cake Stand".

One Hundred Faces - #69
The papers that I glue to cardboard seem to warp when I use Modge Podge, so I am trying a different type of glue. It sort of looks like coconut oil (solidified) and comes from Italy. Has a nice smell too. It does seem to work better. The ATC below was used with my new glue and I like the result.

One Hundred Faces - #67 (Purple Black ATC) + #68 (Fractured)
This is a purple black themed ATC that I made for a swap.
Our first warm day of the season, today. After I post this, I am going outside to help my husband rake some leaves. :)
Updated: This purple black ATC replaces the one I posted above to send to a swap partner. The recipient is an abstract artist who prefers creepy things so I thought this was better suited to her taste.

One Hundred Faces - #66 (Quilt Patterns #1)
Today I found some papers with quilt patterns. Her headdress is the Star of Bethlehem pattern and the background is the Double Wedding Ring pattern. I've always liked the colour combo of blue and mustard yellow.
One Hundred Faces #65 - Mini Quilt
I took a tiny break from paper and switched back to textiles. I have not picked up needle and thread for a few months now. I forgot how relaxing it is to sit back and stitch with some nice music in the background.
This cat was stitched yesterday from a thrifted pillow case. Now I just have to work out the background which I think will most likely be small squares. The small ones are tricky because the smaller you work the more accurate you have to be.

One Hundred Faces - #63 (Turquoise and Lime)
This is for a Turquoise and Lime challenge. It was a bit difficult to find magazine papers in those colours, or at least large enough papers to give those colours some prominence, but finally I found what I was looking for. So here is my take (with one of my lovelies, of course):
Then I realized my new header could have done the job as well. :)

One Hundred Faces - #62 (Green Hair)
I had a surprise visit from a friend today. She lives several hours away from me and I knew she was heading for Toronto Airport to catch a flight, but never dreamed she would have time to stop by my house. We had a great visit for the short amount of time we had.
She has green streaks in her hair. I had to ask how she did that. "Was it a permanent dye or a temporary spray"? I asked. She told me she sometimes uses a bingo dauber from the buck store but her preferred method was to mix up some Kool Aid with a tiny amount of water and brush it on with an old toothbrush. "Just don't get caught in the rain" she warns. This is the only person in the world who I know that would think of colouring her hair by these methods. I like her thinking, LOL.
I am going to try this myself, only not in green. Red or purple would suit me.
Anyway, her green hair inspired the green haired lady below:

One Hundred Faces - #61 (Pink/Black ATC Swap)
This is an ATC I did in black and pink for a swap. I find people sometimes like words to go with their pictures. I just happen to spot the word "Inspire" in a magazine and in pink yet. Perfect for this challenge.

Once Hundred Faces #55 (At the Altar/Doorstep)
Another indoors/outdoors collage. The inside part is in a lovely floral wall papered room. To me, the flower vases make me think of large earrings. The outside part is a doorstep.

One Hundred Faces - #54
I make myself do these collages very quickly and do not allow myself too much time to think. I often get interesting results. I don't always like every piece but I post them anyway unless they are a total disaster. Thankfully I haven't wasted too much time on failures. This one I like, for today, anyway. :)
One Hundred Faces - #53
The face was drawn on the inside of an envelope. Drawing the ladies makes me feel like a makeup artist and a milliner. :)
One Hundred Faces - #52 (40's Gal)
She makes me think of a girl from war time 1940s. The face and hair/hat were cut from the inside of business envelopes. I do like my junk mail. :)

Reposting For The Collage Obesession Challenge
Since there is no particular theme for this week's Collage Obsession challenge, my theme for this week will be indoors/outdoors collage. The girl with the antlers is from a couple of days ago and the image below I finished this morning.
One Hundred Faces - #51
I like the idea of bringing both the indoors and outdoors together in one piece. I did that in a previous collage, the girl with the antlers and it's one of my favourites. :)

One Hundred Faces - #44
I drew this face on an LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) brown paper bag. I love the design on these bags because it makes my lovelies look like they have facial tattoos. I am not a fan of tattoos, especially on the face, but in art, I love it. :)

One Hundred Faces - #37 (Spring-1)
I have loads of photos of beautiful flowers. Since it looks like spring may actually arrive, I am going to do a floral series. I know spring must be around the corner because the dogs are staying outside longer and all of a sudden the dormant house flies and ladybugs are reappearing in the house. I have no idea where they hide in the winter. And my hound dog, Alba, is once again on squirrel and rabbit patrol in the yard..
I forgot about my trusty deckle edged scissors which are perfect for random-like cutting around the pictures of flowers. I am drawing the faces on pages from an old French dictionary. This seems to add a vintage feel. Here is #1 in the series (which also counts in the One Hundred Faces series).

Thoughts
The background is my father's printing. It's part of our family tree that he drew up years ago. I used a photocopy since I did not want to cut up the original. This was done for a challenge (Collage Obsession) where a silhouette was required.
