Second Painting

This is my second painting. I am trying to find my own style but that will take time to develop. I'm just enjoying experimenting with the paints and mixing and blending colours. All the while, I'm listening to all sorts of wonderful classical music and opera while I'm painting. Somehow, I feel I "hear" the music better while I'm focusing on the brush strokes.

Soon I'm going to start a scrap quilt. I wonder if I can commit to making a block a day. I will try. ;)

Lovely paintings - it is nice to see something new and it sounds as if you're really enjoy the whole process of painting, not just getting it done.

I shall watch your progress with great interest :)
I have to ask.....is this a self portrait?
She looks quite a bit like you.

No, it's not me. I just started painting and this is what I ended up with. :)

Hi Inga so sorry I haven't been online much and have missed saying thank you to you for the gorgeous Christmas card that you send, love it. You obviously had a great and productive Christmas painting with your sister. I think you are a talented painter. I especially like the red haired lady, it's nice and bright like mine lol.
Take care Inga.

Hi Inga,
Lost track of you for awhile... Hope you are well and enjoying the new year.
Your art work is very nice. I like how you do different things....
I should get back to my painting. It is such a relaxing thing to do.
I always liked to paint portraits of old men wearing hats. So much charactacter in those old wrinkled faces.
I use to paint portraits for a living and children with their polished faces were the hardest... No lines just smooth chubby faces!! haha
Thanks for the inspiration.
I am working on a beaded doll that is 14 inches tall. I need to finish it for a gallery opening next month. I have been working on it for almost 3 years on and off. I have a small portion of one leg to do and it will be done. I should be able to post a picture next week.....I will be so happy to get it finished. Quite a chore even tho I Love beading..
