On The Road To Tasmania

I think I stated earlier that I wasn't going to post a picture of the Dotee doll that I made for my swap partner in Tasmania. I changed my mind. Even if my swap partner does venture over to my blog and sees this picture of her little dollie, the impact will be different when she sees it in person.

I'm pleased with the way it turned out. It really sparkles with the gold touches.

As a newbie at making these little crafty things, I haven't been able to stockpile a good variety of materials yet - things like, feathers, lace, felt, ribbon, embroidery thread, grommets, beads, wool, glitter, and goodness knows what else. But I will tell you that I look at everything now as potential material for embellishing my dolls and ornaments.

Last week I bought some Christmas quilting cottons and plan to start making some ornaments later today. I should have something up here tomorrow to show you all.

P.S I love this little doll's face. I am doing a Dotee doll swap with Kelli in January :)
