More On The Leaf Doll

This doll is taking a bit of time to complete due to the amount of detail. The first picture is a sketch of my idea. The second is the leaf which is the body of the doll. I have made some sequined, beaded buttons which I have placed on the body for display purposes. This is not what the final layout will look like. I still have a way to go yet and wish I had more time to work on it.

I have no interest or belief in mythologies, but I thought it would be fun to create one of my own through this doll. I can do the visual but I'm not sure I am creative enough to write a good story. I'll have to give this some thought.

Your new doll is a real winner. Very unusual concept.

I just got back from the UK and Ireland. Must tell you that I did not spot Nessie, although I looked long and hard. Loch Ness is an interesting area. That land is so desolate I think a prehistoric animal of some kind is entirely possible.

Looking forward to seeing your leaf lady finished.

The buttons are a great idea. If you need more time, don't hesitate to put this one aside and then come back to it. Sometimes you've got to let the good ideas develop at their own pace.
