Accidental Sun

There's a reason for this being the way it is. I was trying to make a sun but my original idea didn't pan out. I wanted to use the orange-yellow print fabric for the sun's rays. Unfortunately I wasted too much of it on my first unsuccessful attempt. I just had a little piece of this fabric left and I wanted to make sure I used as much of the yellow print part as possible. And this why the new rays are a very odd shape.

The rays are just blocked by the never ending clouds; that's all!
She's lovely and bright and that's what matters.

Actually I sort of love this, and your process sounds really interesting. I like that you were able to make what (to an outsider) feels like a success, even as you struggled through multiple attempts. I really like it!

Well, my dear, your stitching is getting very even and straight. Well done! I would not have the patience for that kind of detail.

Hi Inga you certainly are producing a lot of dolls lately and I have really enjoyed looking at them. I really like the colours in the sun but I adore the butterfly. I will contact you about our swap shortly. Take care Belinda
