29 Faces - #25 (Icon)
This is different from me, working on a larger scale and taking many hours to complete. It's acrylic paint on 16x20" canvas board. The title is "Icon".

29 Faces - #23
Getting close to the end of this challenge. I am managing to keep up in spite of having to concentrate a great deal of effort on a large painting I am working on for an art exhibit.

29 Faces - #14
Had a devil of a time getting into blogger to post this picture. I am a day behind. Let's see if I am able to post #15 next.

29 Faces - #7
I started drawing this last night, absolutely hated it and tossed it in the waste paper basket. Today I had a change of heart. I don't like to give up so I wondered if I could salvage it to the point where I might like it just a little bit. Maybe enough so I could post it on my blog. I rescued it and started to work on it again.
Here is the amended product. I don't love it. I like it and I am not ashamed to post it now. :)

29 Faces - #5
I scanned this face against a blue hazy background, but it's actually a paper cutout ormanent. I need to glue a little loop on the back so that I can hang it somewhere.
I started out by scribbling some lines on a piece of paper with text, using pencil crayons, and then drew the face over it. Hi-lights were achieved with the use of flesh coloured paint and a white ink pen. The rest of it is paper I tore out of a glossy magazine. I really love "painting" with papers. :)

29 Faces - #2
Another paper collage. I was going to try another technique with paints, but just didn't feel like creating a mess on such a hot and humid day.

A New Challange - 29 Faces
Today I start a new challenge. 29 Faces. I already create a face to practically everything I do, so the challenge for me is to create freely and quickly. Not too much thinking involved this time.
So for the first effort, I did a quick sketch with a red marker and then hi-lighted it all with black and red pens and pencil crayons. And a little white hi-light too with a white ink pen and a white charcoal pencil. I glued it on to an image of a lovely traditional quilt. Simple. Done. :)
